The "Alexander Stamboliyski" dam overflowed, but fortunately no damage was caused. Around 10:00 PM last night, the water reached a critical level, and as of this morning it has been overflowing at 7 cubic meters per second.
The reservoir has been under constant monitoring since the beginning of the week. The nearby municipalities of Suhindol and Pavlikeni have warned people living in the lowest parts to move their animals and agricultural equipment.
At the moment, there is no danger of water reaching people's homes or flooding agricultural areas. The levels of the other reservoirs in the Veliko Tarnovo region have also increased, but they are far from the risky ones values.
