The leader of „Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov is the leader of the list in the 3rd MIR in Varna and the 25th MIR in Sofia. The party often talks about sovereignty, neutrality and economic independence. But what do these ideas look like in concrete decisions?
„The first thing that needs to change is the VAT rate, because currently it is up to 100,000 leva for registration. We propose that it be increased to 166,000, which is the maximum amount in the EU. We would like it to be even higher, because the vast majority of budget revenues are paid by small entrepreneurs“, he said in „120 minutes“ Kostadinov.
„For this reason, this will give them a breath of air, but it will also give them the opportunity to work even harder and, accordingly, pay more to the budget“, he said.
The second thing that „Vazrazhdane“ is proposing is related to a correction of the patent tax, because at the moment it is more or less the same for everyone, regardless of whether someone works in the big city or a village.
„These are very important measures that concern all entrepreneurs“, said Kostadin Kostadinov.
„We believe that we should treat not the consequences, but the causes. Everything that we are currently commenting on is largely related to decisions that have been imposed on Bulgaria from the outside. "Decisions that are foreign policy, but have very serious domestic political consequences," believes the leader of "Vazrazhdane."
In his words, if Bulgaria lifts sanctions against Russia and we start buying Russian oil, fuel prices will drop by up to 40%.
"Then we will not have to take money from the budget to compensate Bulgarian citizens for damage caused by the state government to the detriment of national interests in order to please foreign countries," said Kostadinov.
"Sanctions against Russia will be lifted. The first country to do so will gain the most. Prices are always determined in political negotiations," he added.
"We can reach an agreement with Russia. Not to force them, but on the contrary. We can talk and we can make a price that is useful for Bulgaria“, said the leader of “Vazrazhdane“.
The party declared itself against the agreement signed by the caretaker cabinet on Ukraine. According to Kostadin Kostadinov, it only carries obligations for Bulgaria, such as participating in the preparation of a common program for drones to support the military industry of Ukraine.
“Commitments that in no way correspond to the Bulgarian national interest“, he added.
According to Kostadinov, Bulgaria's role in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine should have been a mediator and that we should not have participated in it in any other way.
