Yavor Bozhankov's license was taken away for disobedience

Later on Sunday, Bozhankov confessed that while driving, he did not comply with a police order - to stop for a check

The police in Gorna Oryahovitsa have reported Yavor Bozhankov to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office for disobedience during a police check. NOVA learned this from its own sources.

On Saturday night, a car owned by the MP was spotted driving in his hometown of Gorna Oryahovitsa. It entered a prohibited street and when a patrol signaled it to stop, the car continued on its way. Subsequently, the police saw the MP leave his car in another street and continue walking.

Due to the immunity that Bozhankov has as a MP, the patrolmen could not take any action, but the collected data on the disobedience, including body camera recordings, were provided to the State Police, as it is competent to investigate MPs.

Later on Sunday, Bozhankov confessed that while driving, he did not comply with a police order - to stop for a check. His license was revoked for three months. The case is now with the State Police.
