I entered politics because of my desire to change the system from within, because for many years as a lawyer I saw that it does not matter whether the law is on your side. This was stated in “Face to Face“ by the leader of MECH Radostin Vassilev.
According to him, his biggest motivation was “to rip off the GERB model“, which is why he agreed to join “There is Such a People“ (ITN).
“We, the people who were involved in Trifonov's failed project, wanted it, but internally he did not want it, his team had a completely different opinion. I was invited to ITN by a journalist – Krum Savov, to prepare a program for sports and justice, because with Slavi Trifonov's castings they were unable to gather enough quality people“, said Vassilev.
He added that the revelations he made then gave rise to MECH: “The anti-corruption horizon in Bulgaria is visible. I believe in the future – there are many young people in the country, passionate about the idea of having justice and equality. I suggest to all party leaders – please take a public polygraph for corruption“.
Asked with whom he would form a coalition if his party entered the next parliament, he replied that he was willing to compromise with the people he had tolerated in the name of isolating GERB and MRF from power.
