The ECB has come out with a key analysis of the adoption of the euro and the increase in prices in Bulgaria. The introduction of the euro in Bulgaria has not led to a serious jump in prices, according to the data. The topic was commented on by Georgi Angelov, senior economist at “Open Society”, on the air of “Your Day” on NOVA NEWS.

He pointed out that there were no drastic problems in stores, and where there were signals – the authorities have reacted.

The expert explained that there are goods that are produced in China, and they become cheaper in the long term.

He pointed out that there is a jump in the prices of services - restaurants, hotels, veterinary services, outpatient care, educational services, hairdressing and beauty services, repairs and others. However, the expert emphasized that such an increase in prices occurred both this January and last, and this is due to record low unemployment.

He also said that since there is no one to produce more, prices are rising, since demand is growing faster than supply.

Angelov also said that the measures taken by the state during a crisis should be targeted - the money should be given where it is needed, and not at random. According to him, our country can avoid taking on new foreign debt.

Angelov also pointed out that as long as the war in the Middle East continues, fuel prices will be high.
