A heavy hailstorm fell shortly before noon on the peak of Good Friday in the Pomorie region, causing difficulties on the road network.
On social networks, drivers posted videos showing the intense hailstorm, accompanied by heavy rain and reduced visibility. According to eyewitnesses, the situation deteriorated sharply in minutes, which surprised drivers on the road.
As a result of the complicated road situation, five cars crashed in the area, one of which overturned on the roof of the Aheloy - Pomorie road, in the Kamenar region. There are no reports of injuries, reported the officers on duty at the Ministry of Interior's Burgas Regional Office.
One of the drivers visited an emergency room on his own to be examined. The damage is only material, and the causes are inappropriate speed during the freezing rain. Drivers are urged to drive with caution due to possible slippery road conditions. Temperatures in the region are low - around 8 degrees.
