Within the framework of a specialized police operation for compliance with the Road Traffic Act (RTA), over the past 24 hours, law enforcement agencies have inspected 18,573 motor vehicles. Controls were carried out on 22,063 drivers and passengers.
415 acts were drawn up for the established administrative violations and 4,677 tickets were issued.
The emphasis in control activities remains on preventing the driving of vehicles by unlicensed drivers, as well as by persons who have consumed alcohol or narcotics. The summarized data from the inspections are as follows:
Alcohol consumption
A total of 26 drivers were identified who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol:
12 individuals – with a blood concentration of 0.5 to 1.2 per mille;
14 individuals – with a concentration of over 1.2 per mille;
4 persons refused to undergo a technical check.
Use of narcotic substances
9 cases of driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues were detected;
13 drivers stopped for inspection refused to be tested for the use of narcotic substances.
