"Show people what GERB does - always maintain the lowest taxes for business, modernization, economy, growth. That's where pensions and salaries come from. And let others "hate" us - they have done nothing else in their lives". With these words, GERB leader Boyko Borisov addressed the mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov, reports "Focus".
Borisov is visiting Plovdiv as part of the election campaign, which ends in three days. During the visit, he made a comparison between Sofia and Plovdiv.
"Unfortunately, nothing new can be seen anywhere in Sofia - only pegs. Old objects are being completed and that's it", he said.
"People know - when GERB rules, new things are being built. And when others come - they just talk, find a change and do nothing", Borisov added.
The GERB leader stated that the party is no longer obliged to make compromises.
"We can wait, if we are not the first - we do not make compromises", Borisov said. He accused his political opponents of winning voters mainly with "general talk" in the election campaign.
"We will raise incomes - but how, in what way? Nothing specific. How will they tie up the budget?", he asked and expressed hope that people are wise enough and will not be misled.
Borisov believes that the caretaker cabinet is making a big mistake by not paying municipalities.
"Companies will demand indexation, mayors will go to the Minister of Finance to seek money, and in a few months the country will enter a spiral," he predicted.
