Ivaylo Mirchev: We have no right to waste the chance for the "Peevski-Borisov" model to be destroyed

We will not compromise on this

When forming the new parliament after the elections, the budget must first be adopted, which will be quite difficult. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on bTV by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev.

The talks on this will begin before the formation of the National Assembly. The government must submit the project and we must act very carefully so that the 2026 budget, which must be adopted by the National Assembly, does not become the same as the one that people protested against throughout Bulgaria at the end of last year. From this point of view, we are very categorical – no tax increases and no budget deficits above 3%. People should know that if they vote for us, they are voting for a budget policy that is on track, said Mirchev, quoted by novini.bg.

Secondly, the Law on the Judiciary and a large package of anti-corruption measures, which we proposed in the previous National Assembly, must be adopted. One of these measures is text messages if someone is admitted to a hospital, because huge amounts of money are stolen from there. We have no illusions that the problems in the healthcare sector will be solved quickly and easily, but from somewhere. Regarding the state administration - it is not about mass layoffs, but about optimizing it and stopping the appointment of new people. Those who remain must change their role so that they are more effective. This package will be presented in the next National Assembly and we will see if there is anyone who wants to destroy the "Peevski-Borisov" model or just talk before the elections, the co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" pointed out.

We say that we look to Europe and will not make any compromise with the geopolitical orientation of the country, we have a program with clear steps and actions and we call on people to support us, he noted.

In order to cooperate with other political forces after the elections, we set priorities. Our main priority is to break the "Peevski-Borisov" model. Every day there are examples of the abuses committed by this model. Let's see in the next parliament who can fight this model. Peevski obviously cannot fight a model embodied by himself, and this also applies to Borisov. "Vazrazhdane", apart from the fascist elements, is a vassal party of GERB. There remains "Progressive Bulgaria", which announced a right-wing program, but so far we have only heard words from them and with an eye on Russia, commented Ivaylo Mirchev.

We will not compromise with this. Those who say they will fight the "Peevski-Borisov" model must prove it with actions. We have a clear program for this. We are not isolating ourselves, we will not turn anyone away, let them support this anti-corruption package. We are not isolating ourselves, but those who choose to lead Bulgaria where Orban took Hungary. In Hungary, people have become impoverished because of this model. We are fighting precisely against this corruption model. If they want, let us support it and others so that these measures can take effect, he added.

There is a chance after the elections that this "Peevski-Borisov" model will be destroyed. We have no right to waste this chance, because otherwise it is not known how long the timelessness will last. We must use this opportunity so that there is no new Peevski and the country begins to develop in a normal way, Mirchev emphasized.
