The official cabinet meets in a regular meeting today at 16:00 in the Council of Ministers. The agenda of the ministers consists of 18 items, among which the priority is the expenditure on defense, education and healthcare.
The main focus of today's meeting is the discussion of a project for the acquisition of ammunition intended for the “Stryker“ combat vehicles. In parallel, the government will consider and adopt a strategy aimed at the development of the Bulgarian defense-technological industrial base, with the aim of modernizing the sector.
The ministers also focus on the allocation of funds for education and local government. The Cabinet will discuss in detail the financing of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the budgets of state higher education institutions and municipalities for the current year 2026.
In addition to the previously announced topics, the government will consider a Draft Decision for the adoption of a National Program for the Prevention of Tuberculosis in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2026 - 2030. Also on the table for discussion is a proposal to approve additional payments under the program providing humanitarian assistance to displaced persons from Ukraine who have received temporary protection in our country.
