The government plane "Falcon" is testing the rehabilitated runway at Burgas Airport, successfully carrying out several mandatory flights as part of the procedures before its commissioning, BNT reported.
At 11.02 yesterday, the first landing of a test flight, specially requested by the concessionaire of Burgas Airport, was made. It was used to check the runway and the newly built systems for safe flight operations.
Such tests are standard practice and a mandatory condition before the commissioning of any newly built or rehabilitated airport infrastructure of this type, Burgas Airport reports.
The aircraft, specially equipped for the purpose, arrived from Sofia, and after landing, a series of test take-offs and landings were carried out to fully check all systems. At 4:16 p.m., the flight took off back to Sofia.
The official opening of the renovated runway at Burgas Airport is scheduled for April 29.
