„Preparations for the elections are over, but our work continues. We hope that the trained people will go to the polling station and do their job so that new people will not have to be appointed on Sunday”. This was stated by the Deputy Chairperson and Spokesperson of the CEC Rositsa Mateva in the „Interview in NOVA News”.

She explained that there is a tactile template for the blind. It will be placed on a paper ballot, and this will be done by a member of the section commission. The blind voter must be led behind the screen and left there to exercise his right to vote. „This is at the suggestion of the blind voters themselves at a round table at the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria. So far, they have only voted with an escort,” Mateva emphasized.

Today at 2:30 p.m., permission was given for the voting machines to be transported to the country, and tomorrow at 7-7:30 a.m. they will be taken to Sofia and the Sofia region. “This time, a sufficient number of civil servants were provided. Next to each “Siela Norma” technician who installs a machine, there was a civil servant who immediately checked it, then the machine was packed and arranged for departure to the section election commission. This way, 100% of the machines can be checked”, the CEC spokesperson pointed out.

She also gave more explanations about the electoral card – it can be useful for all voters in our country and abroad and is currently active. “The data for the polling stations is active and every voter can see the address of the station where they will vote. After the elections, information will be published about the votes cast in a given polling station, there will also be a link to the video surveillance. It will be turned on after the end of the election day. There will be checks every few minutes”, said Mateva.

She called on Bulgarian citizens to go and vote.
