"Let our vote today be the first step towards systemic transformation, not another disappointment". This was said by Ivan Takov, Chairman of the BSP - Sofia and Deputy Chairman of the Socialist Party, after exercising his right to vote at the "Lyubomir Pipkov" National Music School.

"I voted for a different, fair country", he said. "For a state based on the principles of freedom - from humiliating dependencies and fear, of justice - in the distribution of public resources and equal access to public goods for all, and of solidarity - between the strong and the weak, between those who have and those who have not. I voted to dismantle the neoliberal state of transition and to create a social state in the name of our common better future".

The Chairman of the BSP - Sofia added that he exercised his right to vote with the belief that a social, fair and sovereign Bulgaria is not a utopia, but a possible and necessary path.

Ivan Takov called on citizens to be active on today's election day. "Vote, because human action is decisive when the systems in the state do not work. If we do not act, those who already possess power, capital and influence will continue to act. "And then nothing will change," he warned.
