A large-scale exercise in a disaster situation will be held today at Plovdiv Airport. It will involve airport employees, "Border Police", fire department, military personnel from "Krumovo" airbase, HEMS and volunteers from the Red Cross, BNT reported.
A fire in a plane will be simulated during the event. The goal is to show the readiness of emergency services in similar situations. The exercise will not interfere with regular flights at the airport, the management of the Plovdiv airport indicates.
