The Directorate of the “Labor Bureau“ in Stara Zagora has received information about mass layoffs, but the obligation of the employer, the “AES Galabovo TPP, which is on the territory of the Labor Bureau in Radnevo, is to submit a notification there. This was stated by the director of the directorate in Stara Zagora, Georgi Gyokov, to journalists, BTA specified.
We received from our colleagues in Radnevo that such a notification has been received and the majority of those being laid off are from Stara Zagora, he specified.
According to him, the reason why a large part of those being laid off are from Stara Zagora is understandable, since most of the workers at the TPP are from Stara Zagora. Georgi Gyokov informed that representatives of the headquarters will have a meeting with the staff, which will be held tomorrow, and then the registration process at the Labor Offices will be clarified.
“The mass layoff procedures are designed so that people who are laid off have security during registration and subsequent service, so we will not leave them to fend for themselves“, he explained and added that the exact number of those laid off will be specified at a later stage, but it concerns over 300 people.
All of them will be notified, also indicated the director of the “Labor Office” Directorate in Stara Zagora, who today officially opened a job fair at the “Zahariy Knyazheski“ Regional Library, organized by the Employment Agency through the “Labor Office” Directorate in Stara Zagora. During the initiative, over 200 job vacancies from 27 employers will be presented.
