"The BSP seems to be taken over from within, because many of its functionaries recognized "Progressive Bulgaria" as the more promising political formation," Pargov also said

At the plenum on Saturday, we had a worrying conversation, where we discussed more what to do from now on, and not so much whether Krum Zarkov should or should not resign. This was stated on Nova News by the former deputy chairman of the BSP Kaloyan Pargov, quoted by novini.bg.

He added that the socialists were responsible for Bulgaria's entry into NATO and the European Union, but he admitted that after 2009, with the coming to power of Boyko Borisov, the party fell into a stupor from which it was unable to emerge in the next 15 years.

„The last elections put an end to the „Borisov“ era and now we have to see whether the model was wrong or the people were wrong“, Pargov pointed out.
According to him, Rumen Radev's formation has „eaten“ the BSP electorate and added that in the period from 2017 to 2024, the BSP lost at least 800,000 votes.

„The BSP seems to be taken over from within, because many of its functionaries recognized „Progressive Bulgaria“ as the more promising political formation“, Kaloyan Pargov also said.

In conclusion, he noted that all those who were part of the party in recent years bear more or less some responsibility for the collapse of the BSP wine.
