The case for the murder of 18-year-old Magdalena Ruseva begins today at the District Court in Haskovo, BNT reports.
The trial began a year after a brutal crime that shocked the city and the country and led to a pogrom against the police department in the city. Maggie's body was discovered on April 30 last year in a canister in an uninhabited property, four days after she disappeared. The defendant is 18-year-old Ivan Kostov, who was a minor at the time of the crime.
