The 2026 budget should not go towards radical spending cuts, the president of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), Plamen Dimitrov, told journalists. According to him, there is a way for the deficit to remain within 3%.
Dimitrov does not believe that Bulgaria's finances are catastrophic. There are problems, but there is also a record surplus, he pointed out. The CITUB will insist on a 10% growth in income, Dimitrov added.
A longer and clearer vision for Bulgaria's industrial development is another request of the CITUB.
