Martin Georgiev becomes CEO of Electrohold Trade

He has extensive management and international experience in the energy sector

From June 1, Eng. Martin Georgiev takes over the position of CEO of Electrohold Trade - a leading electricity trader in Bulgaria with a focus on supply, trading and management of electricity portfolios for end customers and business partners.

Eng. Georgiev has been part of the company's management team since September 2025, when he joined as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of Directors.

Within the framework of his activities in the company, he has a key role in the development of the commercial function of
Electrohold Trade, including the establishment of a trading office, wholesale electricity trading and management of the group's energy portfolios.

Eng. Georgiev has extensive management and international experience in the energy sector. In the period May 2022 – Since March 2025, he has been the CEO of the National Electricity Company and a member of the Board of Directors of TPP ContourGlobal.

Previously, he held the position of Regional Manager for the Southern Balkans at the Swiss energy company Alpiq and is a member of the Board of Directors of a joint venture between Alpiq and the Greek Public Power Corporation. His career also includes consulting work for E.ON Energie Germany, related to the restructuring of the company's business in Bulgaria. In the period 2013-2022, he was the Chairman of the Association of Energy Traders in Bulgaria.

He takes over from Eng. Atanas Dimov, who has been working in the company since 2013, has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017 and has served as CEO since 2022. During this period, Electrohold Trade expanded its client portfolio, strengthened its market positions and established itself as one of the leading electricity traders in Bulgaria.

Eng. Dimov will focus on a new project of the Electrohold Group to build an independent European platform for management, optimization and monetization of flexible energy assets, storage systems and renewable sources.

The transition to the new executive management is organized with a focus on business continuity and building on what has been achieved.
