Earlier, the State Agency “National Security“ announced that a powerful jammer, suppressing GPS signal frequencies on the territory of Sofia, including at Sofia Airport, airplanes flying over Sofia and television towers, had been localized and neutralized in the “Dragalevtsi“ neighborhood, in a strictly guarded complex.

Ivanov added that at around 4:00 p.m. the police came to check and look for a device, a jammer, but for the moment nothing has been found. We have cooperated with the law enforcement agencies, he added.

Another representative of the restaurant, Angel Yordanov, also spoke to the media, saying that the restaurant is open and fully booked for tonight. According to him, people have nothing to worry about.

The two also indicated that so far there have been no problems with the connection of their phones or their customers.

In connection with the case, the press center of the “Vasil Levski - Sofia“ Airport informed BTA that the airport's operations are not affected by the powerful GPS signal jammer installed in the capital and flights are operating according to schedule.
