„Our supporters have a strong expectation that Andrey Gyurov will be a presidential candidate. But he will not be nominated by me, by Asen Vassilev, Ivo Mirchev, Bozhidar Bozanov, but by a strong initiative committee”. This was said in the program „Wake up” on Nova TV by the leader of DSB Radan Kanev.
According to him, this is what will provide a chance to achieve broad support and build a strong alternative to Iliyana Yotova.
„We are obliged to meet this expectation”, said Kanev. Whether and when Gyurov will eventually announce his candidacy, only he can say, the DSB leader added.
He said that there are no agreements with GERB and that they would support Gyurov's possible candidacy.
Kanev also commented on the management program of the “Radev” cabinet. “This document is about 80% verbal chaff, created by artificial intelligence. But in essence, it is not a program with measurable deadlines, criteria for success, a way of financing the goals, but rather a pre-election document for the presidential elections, prepared for Iliyana Yotova, commented Kanev.
However, under the surface, "dangerous trends" were observed.
“In the administration part, in the health part, which worries me a lot, in the justice part, which worries me even more, in the economy, industry part, a striving for super-centralization of power, unknown in its scale in the last 30 years, is visible. The ruling party is 80-90%, with few exceptions, people with either a socialist or military mentality and biography, this really worries us in DSB, said Kanev.
Asked if the right-wingers are preparing for protests, he said they will wait to see the draft budget.
