A 36-year-old motorcyclist, a participant in a motorcycle rally, suffered a serious accident on the way down from the Sokol Monastery to Gabrovo and was transported by air to the N. I. Pirogov University Hospital in Sofia. This is reported by Nova TV.
According to initial information, the man was traveling alone on his motorcycle when he slipped on the section from the monastery to the city. Police and emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene. Due to the serious injuries and the established combined trauma, a decision was made to immediately call the medical helicopter.
A medical team on duty has been formed in “Pirogov” to receive the injured person immediately after landing for emergency diagnostic examinations and subsequent treatment. The causes of the incident are being clarified by the competent authorities.
