Denkov: It is clear that Glavchev is part of GERB, there is no way to pretend that he has nothing to do with them

"The distribution on a quota basis of people along party lines, who should be the face and content of the independent control bodies and regulators, is wrong, this should not be allowed and this is our dispute with GERB," the prime minister said in resignation

I expect him to do his job first - what is constitutional - to hold fair elections. This will depend a lot on the composition of the Council of Ministers, especially the Ministers of Home Affairs and e-Government. So I hope that this very task will be done in good faith.

This was stated by the resigned Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov in a comment on the election of Dimitar Glavchev as acting Prime Minister by President Rumen Radev.

"It is clear that Mr. Glavchev is a party figure, part of GERB, so there is no way to pretend that he has nothing to do with them," said Denkov, quoted by novini.bg.

"Allocating on a quota basis to people along party lines who should be the face and content of independent control bodies and regulators is wrong, this should not be allowed and this is our dispute with GERB" he said.

"The Prime Minister has to decide when and who he needs to be able to do his job. I personally do not know Dimitar Glavchev well, I cannot comment", he noted.
"Of course I would help him, the prime minister's responsibility is not easy, he answered when asked if he would help Dimitar Glavchev upon taking office.
