The head of state Rumen Radev received the candidate for acting prime minister in the presidential institution in order to assign him to propose the composition of an acting government, Nova TV reports.

President Rumen Radev yesterday appointed the Chairman of the Audit Chamber Dimitar Glavchev as a candidate for acting Prime Minister in accordance with Article 99, Paragraph 5 of the Constitution.
The head of state stated that the parties have failed to ensure stable governance, but have limited the powers of the presidential institution as much as possible. According to him, he cannot schedule elections until an interim government is announced. Radev thanked Dimitar Glavchev for being the only one who took it upon himself to fulfill this difficult mission of forming a government.

Radev called for a maximally non-political cabinet, giving a deadline of 1 week to get back the folder with the draft cabinet. The president commented that the cabinet should also meet the expectations of the people to solve the pressing problems facing the state, along with the organization of transparent elections.

In turn, Dimitar Glavchev stated that his decision was difficult, but there was no alternative. Otherwise, the state would have been thrown into a constitutional crisis. "I will present to you a composition of government, equidistant from political forces, untainted experts, with a good name in society. There are such people in the departments, I will make it so that you will not be ashamed when signing the composition of the government", said Glavchev.

He assured that he will continue to follow the Euro-Atlantic orientation of the country. Glavchev will present the composition of the cabinet and the political forces.
