Hundreds of protesters have gathered in front of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the capital and are demanding the resignation of Minister Kalin Stoyanov, who has been nominated for the post and in the caretaker government, which is expected to be sworn in tomorrow . The protest was organized by the BOEC Civil Movement, the BNR reported.
There are actually two protests - one is in front of the Ministry with a request for the resignation of Kalin Stoyanov, and in the kindergarten, employees of the Ministry of the Interior gathered and insist that he remain at the head of the department.
Kalin Stoyanov himself appeared in the kindergarten in front of the Ministry of the Interior to thank the employees who support him and stated that he will not allow anyone to interfere in his personnel policy.
At the same time, representatives of BOEP and other protesters are demanding the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and expressed displeasure that he is still nominated for the post in the caretaker government. According to them, Kalin Stoyanov will make sure that the elections are manipulated.
BOEC also explained that if Kalin Stoyanov is not replaced by another candidate by tomorrow, they will protest in front of the Council of Ministers tomorrow evening.
