What is happening in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and "Customs" will influence the election. This is what Assoc. Stoicho Stoichev, political scientist and university lecturer, told BNR.
"There is no way this will remain without consequences, at least within the election campaign, because people will form their preferences by looking at all this. Do we want more to happen from what we have been seeing for the past few days. ... These things dissuade many sane people from participating in the elections.
He expressed the opinion that it would be better for Kalin Stoyanov to be removed from the "Glavchev" and stressed that "common sense dictates that since there is so much opposition to the Minister of the Interior from the second largest formation - PP-DB and they do not trust that the elections will be fair, maybe the others should comply" :
"This will not be a show of weakness, a show of sober political logic, to limit the potential opportunities of the PP-DB to justify an election loss with the acting interior minister Kalin Stoyanov, if he remains in Dimitar's government Glavchev".
Prof. Stoychev described the formula of the official cabinet as surprising and pointed to the transition of ministers from a regular government to an official one, because the opposite has happened.
"Continuity should not be sought because the previous cabinet of Nikolay Denkov failed".
According to him, the elections on June 9 may turn out to be the "first stage of another early election in the autumn".
