„I have given my proposals for issuing a decree. Now President Radev is on the move. I call on him to fulfill his obligations under the Constitution. This was stated by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to journalists in Brussels before a meeting of the Council of the EU.
„The proposals are entirely mine, it just so happened that calls from party meetings appeared, only that they were subsequent to the conversations I held, and this is not difficult to verify. The 10:00 p.m. delay in the evening of my first proposal was because I was waiting to communicate with the President because I thought it was the right thing to do. He is familiar with both changes. I expect him to take his step according to the Constitution, because as I said at the first meeting of the Council of Ministers, Bulgaria cannot be in a waiting mode, two days is too much. The election is at the door. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a very serious role in organizing the elections," he said.
„I do not trust the two ministers I have proposed for replacement, as they cannot work at the speed I want. I want continuous communication and quick decisions. We don't have time to wait”, Glavchev argued his decision to change the personnel of ministers.
When asked who is the party leader whose orders he is carrying out, Dimitar Glavchev stated: “It is clear who it is. It is not difficult to verify that the talks about the change took place long before the speech at the party meeting. At any party meeting, whoever spoke would have had no influence on me.
„Otherwise, on any issues, I am ready to continue my communication with President Radev on issues that concern the good future of Bulgarian citizens. We will not deviate from Bulgaria's good path and we will follow it”, the candidate for acting prime minister was categorical.
