I did not see a corruption scheme. So far we have seen controlled release of information by the prosecutor's office. This is what he said in the show "More from the day" on BNT journalist Yovo Nikolov in a comment about the affair in customs and the turmoil in the Ministry of the Interior, quoted by novini.bg.

So far I haven't seen any evidence of smuggling which tells me this is a campaign show with bat elements. Targets are "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria", with the more distant target being the former interior minister Boyko Rashkov and the former finance minister Asen Vassilev, Nikolov said.

The fact that a parliamentary committee was created so quickly on the subject tells me that it is a pre-election show. Today we saw an absolutely ostentatious DPS propaganda lecture and "There is such a people". vs. "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria". Even more worrying was yesterday's hearing of the head of DANS, who said that customs have been monitoring smuggling for 2-3 years. This raises questions about why they didn't do anything and why they didn't notify anyone, for example the prime minister, he stressed the journalist.
The whole landscape is so obvious that it is insulting to people how basic things are presented. The prosecutor's office releases controlled information to manipulate public opinion and comment on superficial things. The real problem is that if there are smuggling channels, they should be broken up and the people involved should be put in jail. There is no way a smuggling channel can exist without the participation of the state and without political patronage, because part of the money from this smuggling goes to political parties, Yovo Nikolov pointed out.

In his words, GERB leader Boyko Borisov and DPS co-chairman Delyan Peevski are pulling the strings in the scandals in customs and the Ministry of the Interior. Borisov and Peevski hold the offices and have no interest in reforms there, noted Nikolov.
