The decision was taken with 152 votes "for" of GERB-SDS, DPS, "Vazrazhdane", "BSP for Bulgaria" and ETC.

35 deputies from the PP-DB abstained, and another 7 from the same group voted "against".

With the adopted changes to the Energy Law, KEVR will continue to set quotas for state-owned power plants for electricity produced for the regulated market, and NEK will retain its status as a public supplier for households until July 1, 2025, at prices , determined by the regulator.

The proposal of the BSP to postpone the liberalization for 3 years, which the leader of the party Kornelia Ninova made during the debates, after a meeting of the socialists with the miners from Mini Maritsa Iztok, was not accepted.
