The caretaker government also started changes in the army: Brigadier General Stanimir Hristov is proposed as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces

It is proposed to the president to promote Colonel Miroslav Kostadinov to the rank, as well as to appoint him to the position of "Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade"

The Council of Ministers adopted a Decision on a proposal to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to issue a decree to relieve Brigadier General Stanimir Hristov from the position of “Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade” and to appoint him to the position of “Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces”, starting from 05/06/2024.

The government also proposes that Colonel Miroslav Kostadinov be appointed to the position of “Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade“ and to be awarded the high military rank of “Brigadier General“, considered by
