Kristian Ekmekchian is the 21-year-old who died a driver who crashed that night with a Jeep "Range Rover" on "Ruski" Blvd. in Plovdiv. He is the son of a traffic police officer from the "Registrations" department, "Focus" revealed.
Teodora Nikolova is the girl who traveled in the front seat of the Jeep “Range Rover” along "Ruski" boulevard. The 20-year-old woman died on the spot, as did the driver of the powerful vehicle.
The serious road accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. today on "Ruski" Blvd. in Plovdiv, near the intersection with the "Sixth of September" Blvd., reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs Plovdiv.
Emergency teams, the police and the fire brigade have been dispatched to the scene. According to initial information, a "Range Rover" jeep, which was coming from the Central Station, entered the dividing line between the two lanes and crashed into several plane trees in succession.
The impact split the car in two - the front part crashed into one of the trees, and the rear part flew out onto the roadway. The 21-year-old driver and a 20-year-old female passenger next to him were pronounced dead on the spot.
A 22-year-old boy and a girl traveling in the back seat were taken to hospital with life-threatening conditions. In the meantime, emergency medical assistance was provided to a seriously injured employee of the RDPBZN - Plovdiv, who was hit by a tree branch during the rescue operation.
