Traffic in the direction of our northern neighbor is heavy. Traffic is difficult, but mainly for trucks. This was announced by the Main Directorate of "Border Police", quoted by FOCUS.
No delays were reported at the other border crossings. The repair of the border crossing "Kalotina" continues, and by the end of the month, repair works are also being carried out on the bridge over the Danube near Ruse. A temporary organization of traffic has been introduced there.

The border with Romania: Traffic is intense at the checkpoint "Vidin", the checkpoint "Kardam" and border crossing "Oryahovo" for trucks on the way out.
Regional Road Administration – Ruse/API/ informs that from 13 to 31.05.2024, emergency repairs will be carried out on the bridge over the Danube between Ruse and Gyurgevo. Temporary traffic management will be in place. The repair works will be carried out during the daylight hours, and traffic will be carried out in one lane with a through mode and will be regulated with traffic signs and signalers.
Border with Greece: Traffic is normal at all border checkpoints.
Through the border crossings "Makaza", "Zlatograd“ and "Ivaylovgrad“ only cars and vans can pass.
The border with the Republic of Serbia: Traffic is normal at all border checkpoints.
At the checkpoint "Kalotina" construction and installation activities are carried out in connection with a contract for reconstruction and modernization. The activities require a temporary narrowing of the road lanes and a reorganization of the movement of passing vehicles. During the holidays, those traveling by car should bear in mind that the temporary organization of traffic before and in the area of the border crossing point may increase the crossing time.
