On 11.05.2024, a tractor with a semi-trailer with Turkish registration arrived at the checkpoint - Captain Andreevo. The driver, a Turkish citizen, presents regular documents for the transported group goods from Turkey to Germany.
The truck was selected for a thorough inspection, including with X-ray equipment, where unusual densities in the transported cargo were noted. In the course of the control actions, 125 cartons of olive oil in packages of 5 and 1 liters were found in the cargo area, well concealed with part of the declared goods - packets of sunflower seeds.
The total amount of olive oil discovered is 3220 liters. 130 undeclared cartons of powdered soups, as well as vegetable and meat broths were also found.
The driver of the truck was charged under the Customs Act for attempting to transport goods across the state border without the knowledge and permission of the customs authorities.
