Sociologist: The game is not played, the election will be decided by 600,000 people who have not decided who to vote for

Three political formations are close to the 4% barrier and in the coming days until the vote on June 9th it depends on them whether they will cross the threshold to enter the parliament, Kolyo Kolev said

There are constant attempts to suggest that the match is played and it is not important to vote, which is not the case.

This is what the sociologist from "Mediana" told BNR. Kolyo Kolev, who commented on the results of the latest public opinion poll, which the agency published on May 19.

He emphasized that about 600,000 people have not decided who to vote for, but have declared that they will vote:

"That's a lot of people. The match has not been played at all and in the remaining days until the elections it will be decided what will be the position of forces in the 50th National Assembly... Three political formations are close to the 4% barrier and in the following days until the vote on the 9th June depends on them whether they will cross the threshold to enter the parliament. They have a chance because there is a demand for a political alternative".

51% of the respondents answered that how the country is governed does not depend on the choice of the voters, highlighted Kolyo Kolev and commented:

"This means that the basis of democracy has been undermined, that the government is in the hands of the people, that they broadcast who will rule.

Very low voter turnout - about 35%, i.e. between 2.5 and 2.7 million voters - this is what the sociologist predicted, referring to the survey data.
