To date, we have received a total of 62 reports of violations of the electoral process, 26 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated, acting Minister of Internal Affairs Kalin Stoyanov told the media, quoted by BTA. He pointed out that the action against the bought vote and the counteraction to domestic crime, which took place today in Varna, and the actions of the police, which are to come, are based on received operational signals. In connection with the police actions in Varna, 45 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated, 12 of which are for crimes against the political rights of citizens. 14 addresses were searched, lists, debit cards, phones and money were seized, Stoyanov said. Two wanted persons have also been identified.
The minister added that the price for a purchased vote varies between 50 and 100 BGN. Until now, the largest number of reports and initiated pre-trial proceedings were in the territory of the Burgas region, but now the data are equalizing with the territory of Varna, commented Kalin Stoyanov.
Regarding the migrant pressure, Minister Kalin Stoyanov pointed out that the situation is calm and “times better than last year”.
