The Sofia Ring Road overpass (SOP) on “Bulgaria“ Blvd. is temporarily closed to traffic. from SOP to “Boyana” quarter. The information is provided by the Metropolitan Municipality. The traffic will be carried out through the road junction in the “Boyana” - Ring Road.
It is planned to restrict traffic in the direction of the “Boyana” until the complete inspection of the facility, clarification of its condition and giving a decision on restoration. The Municipality did not specify a date or an expected term.
In 2018, the facility was renovated, including the replacement of the road asphalt concrete pavement. Then the sidewalk consoles, new railings and restraint systems, as well as elements of the street lighting, were repaired. No repairs have been carried out on the supporting structure. After that, periodic checks were made on the site itself, during which no problems were found.
