The land clearing for the National Children's Hospital can be accelerated by two months. Instead of seven, the activities can be carried out within up to five months. This became clear during the working meeting convened by the Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev in the Council of Ministers with the participation of the Minister of Health Dr. Galya Kondeva, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Koritarova and experts from both departments. Talks on the subject are also pending with the project contractor, the press center of the Council of Ministers reports.
The shortening of the term will be associated with maximum intensive work during the summer months. The aim is that the main activities of removing the old buildings and clearing the terrain will be carried out within the summer season, so that the hard work will be finished by the winter, even before the free analysis of the European Investment Bank. It is expected to be released early next year and will show what the structure, departments and capacity of the National Children's Hospital should be. The Prime Minister has tasked the Ministry of Health with an urgent order to explore the possibilities of fast-tracking this free analysis as well, even at the cost of government funding.
With the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Municipality of Sofia, the regulation of traffic in connection with the removal of waste from the site will be specified. In parallel, work is being done on the completion of the ring road of Sofia, from where the necessary transport connection for the hospital complex is planned.
