„The very fact that after so many years a geopolitical debate is being conducted in Bulgaria shows that beneath the surface there are layers of people, of interests that have nothing to do with the geopolitical orientation of Bulgaria”. This was stated by former foreign minister Nadezhda Neinski in the program “On Focus” on the occasion of the scandal with the leaked gram from acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to Bulgarian Ambassador Lachezara Stoeva an hour before the vote on a resolution on the killing of men and youth in July 1995 in Srebrenica. The UN declaration on Srebrenica is much more toned down than possible, it does not speak of collective guilt, it speaks of individual responsibility, she clarified.
„The difference between genocide and massacre is that genocide is the deliberate destruction of a people. During the Kosovo crisis, Milosevic tried to do the same with the Bosnian Serbs,” Neinskisaid. According to her, if the Bulgarian representative at the UN had complied with the published letter to vote “Abstain”, the reputational damage to our country would have been enormous. According to the diplomat, apparently acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dimitar Glavchev was advised by someone about the position he sent to Bulgaria's UN representative. According to Neinsky, there is a big dissonance between what is publicly claimed and what actually happens.

Regarding the upcoming US election, she said the conviction of former President Donald Trump is a sign that justice in the US is working. America will fall into isolationism if it is only interested in its internal problems, added Nadezhda Neinsky.
