The DANS report for 2023 indicated the biggest threats to Bulgaria's national security. According to him, the high intensity of attacks against the country's security related to operations of foreign special services, malicious information campaigns and cyber attacks will be maintained this year.
„I don't see where the threats are so outlined and the report is alarming. Even in my opinion, there is a lack of authentic correspondence between content and conclusions. To say that in the next year 2024 there will be extreme dangers, radicalization, without confirming it with data... “, Tihomir Stoychev, an expert and lecturer on national security, said on bTV.
According to him, the DANS report was late, and the reports of all services should have come out already in March, which should have passed through the Security and Voting Council of the Council of Ministers, after which they would have gone to the National Assembly.
