A Ukrainian driver drowned in the Danube near Ruse

The body of a Ukrainian truck driver was found in the waters of the Danube River in the Tutrakan region. According to the police, it is an accident.
That summed up the BNR.

The accident was reported on June 1, when three Ukrainian drivers who were waiting their turn to cross the border at the Danube Bridge decided to cool off by swimming in the Danube. They were located in the harbor area, where the site of the future ferry between Ruse and Gyurghevo is located.

One of them, a 47-year-old man, was swept away by the current and drowned. A signal was immediately sent to Emergency number 112 and officers of the Border Police were sent to the scene with a boat to search for the man.
