The prosecutor's office brought charges against the two detainees at the DANS action in Plovdiv on Monday and released them on bail of BGN 5,000 each and a ban on leaving the country, bTV reported.

The two, one of whom is the chairman of the National Movement “Russophiles” - Plovdiv Zlatomir Devlenski, were detained for 24 hours on Monday on suspicion of disclosing a state secret.

According to the investigators, he is the instigator, and his accomplice, who sympathizes with the power structures in the state, is the executor.

If the charges are proven in court, the two face a sentence of 2 to 8 years in prison.

The arrest was made on Monday, and earlier in the morning DANS officers searched the office of the National Movement “Rusophiles”, which is located in the BSP city council building.

Zlatomir Devlenski's office in the Rodopi municipality building, where he is an employee, was also searched.
