A 66-year-old Bulgarian tourist drowned near the Greek coastal town of Kavala. The medics were unable to save him.

He drowned in the sea at Keramoti beach near Kavala. The place is preferred for summer holidays by Bulgarian tourists.

He was helped on the spot by an arriving medical team, after which he was transported to the hospital in Kavala, reports BNR.

The cause of death will be determined after a medical examination, but authorities again warn tourists to be aware of warm weather, climate changes and sea conditions.
