DPS is an ethnic party and there is no need to hide this. For a Bulgarian to head the DPS is a very thin and delicate activity. It will be a long time before we know what's going on at DPS. My only concern as a citizen is not to ethnicize these problems, because it can lead to very big nonsense.
This was stated in the program "Denyat live" on NOVA NEWS, the political scientist Parvan Simeonov, who comments on what is happening in the DPS.
"Putting a Bulgarian at the head of the DPS is a very thin and delicate activity. Apparently this caused a stir and Ahmed Dogan took action. Through indirect sources we will find out what exactly happened. Delyan Peevski's hyperactivity was the reason why he was promoted to chairman of DPS. Apparently, there was fermentation even then and Jevdet Chakarov was added. I hope that we are very far from the ethnicization of all these problems in the DPS, but let's not forget that we are in the Balkans. I don't want to think about that, I want to think about what will happen politically," he added.
"If Delyan Peevski loses the battle, many of his enemies back in time may try to reduce his influence. I'm talking about DB, Rumen Radev, Kostadin Kostadinov. I don't know if a new Peevski party will succeed. Who does he represent? However, nobody and for nothing in the world should underestimate Delyan Peevski. He survived such great hate, sanctions and managed to make the DPS a second political force", Parvan Simeonov was categorical.
