From PP-DB they came to "Dondukov" 2 for a meeting with President Rumen Radev, BNT reports. The coalition requested this meeting in order to discuss with the head of state the current political situation and the possibilities for solving the political crisis.

"The heat outside coincided with a hot political summer. This complex situation requires dialogue as well as timely operational solutions", said President Rumen Radev.

"The essence of the crisis today is that the same parties that came together to overthrow regular governments cannot now come together to make theirs a regular government. What did they achieve by doing this? These questions have no answer. Crises require non-standard solutions. We offer a non-standard solution, the essence of which is the fight against corruption. We want to propose a package of laws and solutions to take that missing step to help rid the political system of corrupt individuals. We are proposing a declaration setting out these important steps that need to be taken and we will seek broad political support for it. That's why we need some time and we come to you with an appeal to this opportunity", said Nikolay Denkov.
On Saturday, the national council of the PP gathered in a meeting to decide whether to make an attempt to realize the second mandate together with the coalition partner from "Democratic Bulgaria" or to be the opposition in the 50th National Assembly.
The DB has repeatedly stated that they are ready to work on forming a technical cabinet, with a clearly defined time mandate and priorities.

President Rumen Radev is expected to hand the second exploratory mandate to form a government to the second-largest political force represented in parliament next week.
After 17 people's representatives were expelled from the DPS parliamentary group during the week, the Movement became the fourth largest political force represented in the parliament. Second in number in the parliament are now the PP-DB, which is expected to receive the exploratory mandate to form a government.
