"The fact that the Constitution does not write a specific deadline does not mean that there is no deadline for these political consultations with the President. There is a time limit and it is called a "reasonable time". It is not determined arbitrarily".

This is what associate professor Borislav Tsekov, doctor of constitutional law, said in "More from the day" according to BNT.

"If We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) has clearly stated that it wants to form a government, that it is starting negotiations, that the opposite party in these negotiations also declares such a will and enter into negotiations, then they can be handed a mandate within this reasonable period", explained the interlocutor of BNT.

According to Tsekov, if initially the party or coalition intends not to form a regular government, it does not need 2-3 months to adopt laws.

"This period of three months, which they want from the PP-DB, is an attempt at a parliamentary coup,", Assoc. Prof. Borislav Tsekov also said.
