During the past two weeks, we received a series of mixed messages from the PP-DB parliamentary group. We have given this tone of dialogue and willingness to have conversations where we can look for common policy intersections. We were denied through the media that they would be the opposition. We went through presented ideas for technical cabinets and apparently now as for "technical reasons" PP-DB became the second parliamentary force, we see the beginning of a desire to talk about priorities and policies. This was stated by Denitsa Sacheva from the PG of GERB-SDS at a briefing, quoted by Dariknews.bg.
"We remain skeptical how a parliamentary group with 39 MPs can confidently dictate the entire agenda of society and how a party that lost 300 thousand votes in the elections continues to consider itself is the undisputed winner and to educate all other parties, but despite these remarks, we are a systemic and institutional party and we will respond to this invitation to a meeting by Bozhidar Bojanov", she pointed out.
Sacheva clarified that Nadezhda Yordanova, Ludmila Ilieva and Bozhidar Bojanov will also be present at the meeting, stressing that they are working well with them. From the PG of GERB-SDS will be Sacheva, Rosen Zhelyazkov and Raya Nazaryan, but he specified that the position of GERB remains unchanged - without support for a government with the second term or the third term.
"But we have to have conversations and dialogue. The topics that are described as priorities in the declaration, on which we are convinced that work should be done and a common solution should be found. We hope that the upcoming election campaign will make all colleagues reconsider their behavior and that these priorities, which we constantly present to the public, will become real results", Sacheva also pointed out at a media briefing.
Temenuzka Petkova from the PG of the GERB-SDS added that the PP-DB declared themselves a fighter against corruption, but very often such things are done under the guise of this fight. "They owe the society answers to many important questions - for example, the memorandum with Gemcorp, the photos with the poodles and tutues, the derogation of "Lukoil", without reasons being given for it," commented Petkova.
"Colleagues talk very passionately about the rules of KPCONPI, but they were developed by Raya Nazaryan and discussed with the EC by Maria Gabriel," Petkova also commented.
In addition, Temenuzka Petkova called on her colleagues from the PP-DB "to stop proclaiming themselves to be the only pro-European and anti-corruption party". According to her, the sooner they do this, the faster they will find their way to each other so that they can solve the country's real problems.
