Rosen Zhelyazkov: PP pushes the process towards elections

According to him, only the procedure for electing members of the Anti-Corruption Commission will last at least 90 days

„PP-DB's proposals are for four laws and three procedures. Of these laws, only one was submitted for a vote. The deadline for the event is three months“.

This is what Rosen Zhelyazkov from GERB-SDS said in the show "Face to Face".

„The formation of a cabinet becomes hostage to a declaration. We do not know whether this declaration will be put to a vote in the plenary. There are quite a few formal implications contained in the internal contradiction between PP and DB. “Democratic Bulgaria” endeavors to objectify a political process. “We continue the change” is trying to hide behind an alleged foreign guilt for going to the elections, but it is pushing this process in that direction”, he emphasized.

„We are going to talk institutionally with “Democratic Bulgaria”. They fit institutionally. We owe not only respect but also a policy conversation. It may not lead to the possibility of extending the process of awarding the mandate, but it may be a prerequisite for a positive election campaign and a bet for synchronizing the state's priorities during the mandate of the next National Assembly, Zhelyazkov added.

According to him, only the procedure for selecting members of the Anti-Corruption Commission will last a minimum of 90 days.

„If we propose a similar procedure for selecting an ombudsman, and there are no prepared rules, add another month or two,”, he said.

„We believe that all prerequisites for the funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan must be met, regardless of the internal controversy. There is a question mark – the ruling of the Constitutional Court regarding the changes in the Basic Law”, added Rosen Zhelyazkov.
