Workers from the waste enterprise near the Sofia village of Yana detected a truck belonging to a Sofia company that had brought garbage at the factory using switched numbers. The vehicle has already been detained by the police, BNT reports.
The truck is owned by the company "Vasconti 2018" EOOD, which has the right to remove garbage, but not with this truck. For the vehicle to enter the factory, with the so-called "pig tails" he was given the numbers of a truck that has a permit for this.
According to the company's management, the garbage hauler receives double financing - both from the Metropolitan Municipality and from the owners of the waste it transported.
"Most often frauds are committed by companies in order to deposit waste that should not come to the territory of the enterprise. The reason is that this waste is outside the Metropolitan Municipality or should not be accepted by us, as it is not household waste. This waste should not be with us. If this waste is taken by another generator, the company receives money for it from the generator itself and at the same time receives money from the Metropolitan Municipality. I expect the competent authorities to report themselves, and we will follow the law, as the rules are," said Valentin Baev, deputy director of the waste treatment enterprise in the village of Yana.
The company that owns the truck told "In the world and in our country" that at the dump their driver saw that his front number was missing and to allow him to unload the garbage, he changed the number to another one.
