By the end of the year, Bulgaria must have 3 medical helicopters on duty. There is a delay in the production of the second helicopter - it should arrive at the end of October, beginning of November. Mandatory by the end of the year, according to the schedule, the third helicopter should arrive in December, said in the program "Referendum" Georgi Gvozdeikov, Acting Minister of Transport.
In his words, one should not speculate about the tragic incident in Stara Planina.
"In aviation, there are strict rules that must be followed - safety comes first, which means that every aircraft has a maintenance program. When he has completed the required number of flight hours, he must undergo technical maintenance in order to obtain permission for further flights. The helicopter has reached the first 150 hours, it was at this point, there is no way the helicopter can fly without this maintenance. From today at 4 p.m., it is back in operation and on duty," Georgi Gvozdeikov added.
