Arguments in support of the court's ruling relate to the fact that a considerable period of time had passed in which the most severe measure had been imposed on him.
„The court agreed with our arguments and changed the measure of remand for Georgiev. They were mainly in the direction of the elapsed considerable period of time - more than a year. In addition, there is no danger of absconding or committing another crime. For the moment, the decision satisfies us”, commented Adv. Valentin Dimitrov, defender of the defendant.
Debora Mihailova did not appear at today's hearing in the case against the defendant Georgi Georgiev. However, her mother was interrogated for two hours. She was one of two witnesses to testify today.
As an additional measure of procedural coercion, the defendant was prohibited from leaving the country. Supervising prosecutor Desislava Kalaidzhieva said she would exercise the prosecution's right to protest the court's ruling.
